As of Monday August 16, 2010 at 2200 hours, Northern Rescue Station 2 officially relocated from the WISP Resort to our newly built station at the intersection of Rt 42 and Garrett Highway. Station 2 originally started out at the Accident Fire Department in 1976 where an ambulance was housed until August 22, 2004 when it was relocated to the WISP. New property was purchased in 2009 which included an existing log house originally built for office space. A two bay garage has been built and renovations made to the house to accomodate on-duty crews. There is still work to be done at the new station before we are entirely settled in; however, the move is a very welcomed change to station 2 members after being confined to such small spaces for so many years.
